《流浪地球2》电影在影院上映时，使用了两种画幅，分别是2.76:1的“超宽（窄）画幅”和2.1:1的完整画幅。其中2.1:1的完整画幅为IMAX影厅专属，占据了约60%的时长。在其他影厅（即使是有遮幅1.85:1的银幕），2.1:1幕幅的画面被裁切为2.39:1的宽幅长宽比，2.76:1的画面不变。（也有一说是全部裁切为2.76:1）

在电影上线网络时，只有最高2.39:1的普通影厅画幅版本，并且内嵌了硬字幕。后来在上线国外流媒体时，出现了没有硬字幕内嵌的纯净画面版本。

关于分辨率问题，电影在影院上映时只有2K版本，数字中间片分辨率为2K，并没有4K分辨率的影厅/版本。也就是说，虽然可能摄影机拍摄原始素材的分辨率很高，但是特效制作的过程就是按照2K分辨率制作的。[1]

在国内流媒体上线后，出现了各种各样的4K版本，而1080P版本则码率非常低，甚至3个小时的电影只有1-2G的大小。若仔细看就可以看出，这些4K分辨率的版本有一部分是使用了AI超分的算法，在超分之后画风就直接变了，产生了一些油画感、涂抹感。同时，在超分的过程中也会抹去一些摄影机的噪点以及辨识不清楚微小细节。超分的版本主要集中在文件大小为25G左右的4K版本，有些带有腾讯的片头。此外，还有粉丝自行补帧制作的60帧、120帧版本，大小可达40G、60G，也是基于这些流媒体版本制作的。

后来在上线国外流媒体后，清晰度最高只有1080P的版本，没有4K。而且文件体积很小，只有不到10G，好在是没有硬字幕内嵌的纯净画面，而且没有AI超分算法的影响。

在7月底新增的这个IMAX画幅版本，终于解锁了完整的画幅。虽然是4K分辨率，但是画面目测也没有AI超分的影响。画面纯净无硬字幕，适合做剪辑素材，并附带了内置的软字幕。HDR方面，采用了HDR10+版本，兼容设备更多。
